Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Garlic and Sweet Chili

It always surprises me when people say they don’t like brussel sprouts. I’m here to change that with this sweet and spicy recipe that takes boring brussel sprouts to a more elevated, delish flavor.

Ingredients:

1 cup of Brussel srpouts halves (you can buy them in whole or already pre-cut in halves)

4 cloves of garlic

4-5 tablespoons of olive oil

1 tablespoon of salt and pepper

1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce

Crushed peanuts to garnish

Set oven to 400. In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil and add brussel sprouts. Lay the sprouts on the halve side that is cut. Sprinkle salt and pepper and add garlic. Let it cook in the olive oil for 5-7 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden brown. Transfer to the oven and let it roast for a full 20 minutes. Check on them every 5 minutes and toss them generously. Once tender, remove from oven and toss the sprouts with sweet chili sauce. Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top.
