Medjool Date Bark With Raspberry and Crushed Almonds
Made the viral date bark, but with a twist ❣️ I used my leftover homemade raspberry compote and topped the bark with some crushed almonds and sea salt. It makes a massive difference using fresh homemade compote or jam! This dessert is a great alternative that will satisfy your sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
7-9 large medjool dates
1 teaspoons of coconut oil
Good quality dark chocolate
Raspberry jam or compote
Sea salt
Crushed almonds
Start by removing pits from your dates and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. With wet hands, press down on the dates with your fingers until flat. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Once frozen slightly, spread jam on top and place back in the freezer for another 10 minutes. Melt chocolate, use a little coconut oil when melting for that shiny, chocolate look! Spread over jam and date layer. Top with crushed almonds and sea salt, place back in the freezer for a few hours. Cut and serve!
